A Milestone Moment: Our Largest Donation Yet to Support YWCA Survivors

At Mothers In Unity, our mission has always been clear: to show up for women and children in need with real support, real resources, and real love. This month, we reached a moment that will stay in our hearts forever, we proudly made our largest donation to date to the YWCA, supporting women and children who have survived domestic violence.

This was not only the biggest donation we’ve ever given, it was also the biggest donation the YWCA has received. And that is something we don’t take lightly.

Why This Donation Matters

Domestic violence doesn’t just leave emotional scars, it often forces women and children to leave behind everything they own in order to be safe. Many families arrive at shelters with nothing but the clothes on their backs. That’s why donations like these are more than just items, they’re a reminder that they are not alone.

What We Donated

Because of our community’s generosity and the work we’ve poured into this mission, we were able to deliver:

• Over 1,000 toys

• 300 clothing items

• 100 pairs of shoes

• 80 baby products

Every single item was donated with purpose, to bring comfort, dignity, and joy to families rebuilding their lives.

The Biggest Gift Is Hope

Toys aren’t “just toys.” They are joy, distraction, healing, and childhood; especially for kids who have experienced trauma. Clothing and shoes aren’t “just clothes.” They are confidence, warmth, and the ability to start again. Sanitary and baby products aren’t “just essentials.” They are care, safety, and dignity.

This donation represents what happens when a community comes together and decides that women and children deserve better.
